What is Consignment?
At its simplest, consignment with Little Treasure 4 kids is a way for you to sell your new and ‘gently-used’ clothing, accessories, and books. You entrust us with your items for a limited time and Little Treasure 4 kids will sell them through our online consignment store. Items should be clean and in good shape – if you would not give it to someone you love as a hand-me-down or if they are in poor condition (stained, have rips or excessive wear) do not sell it. It is to your advantage to sell only the best. Consignment is also a great thing to consider if you think you have had your last child and/or want to clear up some closet space, plus it also gives you the opportunity to make some money in the process.
If you have decided to consign with us, follow the simple steps below:
1. Prepare your items:
- Now that you know that you want to consign with us, click here to find out what items we do and do not accept.
- Inspect your items. All items must be clean, free of stains, tears, rips, spots, worn out knees, missing buttons or snaps, broken zippers, hems or seams out.
- If possible, items should be in a plastic tote box.
- If you are pricing the items, fill out the attached “Tag Item Form” and tape it to the garment. If you prefer for us to price the item, we will be glad to fill out these forms for you at the time of drop off/pick up.
2. Contact Little Treasure 4 kids:
- Contact Little Treasure 4 kids to schedule a drop off/pick up appointment; we will be in touch with you within 24 hours. Although we prefer for you to complete the contact form, feel free to call us at (713) 974-0226 to schedule your drop off/pick up appointment.)
- All items will be carefully inspected. Unacceptable items will be returned to you or, per request, donated to local charities in Houston, Texas. We want to make sure that everyone has a positive experience at Little Treasure 4 kids.
- After the inspection of all items has been completed, you will be given an agreement form for you to sign. (Upon request, the agreement form can also be emailed or faxed to you prior to drop off.)
3. Little Treasure 4 kids will prepare items for sale:
- Consigner will receive fifty percent (50%) of the selling price of each item sold.
- Checks for sales made are issued on the 15th of each month for the prior whole month.
- Items that were not sold at the end of the consignment period will be returned to you, or upon request donated to local charities in Houston, Texas .
